Emotion vs. Logic
Emotion: Why shouldn't I get back at them?
Logic: Why should you?
Emotion: It's not fair, how can people just get away with acting the way they do?
Logic: I won't presume to know, but I blame the parents, and the enabling of bad thoughts.
Emotion: Like how mom would always say to do the right thing even though we did the bad thing?
Logic: Yeah or how dad never really said how being bad would get you far...
Emotion: It's just unbelievable that people are so heartless. I mean I understand hatred, but the act of hurting someone that has tried to care for you and be there for you is just absurd...
Logic: What can you do?
Emotion: Hurt them back!
Logic: Let them know how it feels?
Emotion: Yeah!!!
Logic: Don't you think that mentally they are already hurt? I like to believe people aren't born bad, but rather, forced to do bad as a way to protect themselves. Some people weren't born with the luxury of forgiveness. They have gone their entire lives thinking something was their fault. They know now its not, but it leaves the void of accountability being tattered. Now they think that to avoid the guilt of pain, they must inflict a smaller pain to be void of anything else entirely.
Emotion: So what the fuck do you think I should do then?
Logic: Forgive them... its hard and you have no reason to...
Emotion: *sigh*
Logic: You have all the right to exact revenge, but thats not you, it may make you darker on the inside, but it will make you stronger too!!
